What Tail does

Tail is a macOS app that records your screen into a temporary replay buffer on your Mac. Clips are saved locally. Nothing is uploaded unless you create a share link.

What we collect

If you sign in, we store your account email and sign-in identity (Discord or Google) with our authentication provider (Supabase). When you create a share link, the clip video and its basic metadata (title, game name, resolution, duration, view count) are uploaded to our storage (Cloudflare R2) so the link can play.

What we don't collect

We don't sell your data, run ads, or track you across other sites. Clips that you never share stay on your Mac and never reach our servers.

Retention

Shared clips are automatically deleted from our storage 3 days after upload. Local clips on your Mac are yours and are never touched by us. You can delete a shared clip at any time from the app, which removes it from our storage immediately.
